A Day In Llandudno

Earlier in the week, my mum and I took a trip to Llandudno. We set off on the hour and a half drive with the weather not looking promising at all, that is until we passed through Chester and reached North Wales. There was sun and blue sky all along the coast which made for some wonderful scenic photos. Brief warning, this post is going to be fairly picture heavy as I just wanted somewhere to share the snaps I took on my DSLR.

First stop, OK Diner!

It's a tradition of ours to visit the diner situated at a service station on the way
to Llandudno. It was fairly quiet in there and didn't feel the same as the other times we have been in the past, but the food was delicious nevertheless. We opted for the 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' and it was very dandy indeed!

Once we reached Llandudno, we headed straight for the Great Orme, eventually reaching the top of the extremely steep hill. On the way up we had to wait for a sheep to cross the road... Not exactly ideal at a steep incline (and not to be stereotypical but, it was kind of ironic).

The rest of the day included walking along the beach and the Llandudno pier, stopping for doughnuts of course! As well as gambling away 2ps in the arcade, desperately hoping to win the bag of 2ps on the other side of the glass.

Walking back to the beach, my mum's doughnut became target to an army of greedy seagulls, nearly knocking me out in the process, so long doughnut.

As the day turned to dusk, it was time to find somewhere for tea. We found a small cafe/restaurant hidden away in the side streets near to the seafront and sat down for some good old seaside fish and chips - or cottage pie in my mum's case! On the way home I spotted a beautiful sunset but I must admit, trying to capture a picture of it whilst in a moving car, clunking the window with your camera lens every now and then is much harder than it sounds!

Have you visited any interesting places this Summer?

  11. All the clicks are amazing.. specially the food looks good lol.. I am glad you spent only 2p in the arcade and arent a mini gambler like me cause I literally ended up spending 20quid in the arcade at Brighton Pier.. in my defence I was playing to win Stewie and the Minions :(

    1. Well technically I spent £1 in 2ps, but still haha! I REALLY wanted to play on the machines that don't ACTUALLY work so I could win a Mike Wazowski or Sulley teddy but I had no money left :( x
