Winter Wonderland

*Clears throat* BLOGMAAAAS, THE SNOW'S (not) COMING DOWN!
Hi, hey, hello! I'm excited, can you tell? It's time for my first EVER Blogmas post - this is all very new, a little intimidating and hopefully enjoyable for both you and me. If Christmas just is not for you, I apologise in advance... My year tends to revolve around the festive season, sorry not sorry.

Time to get into the actual post. I took a trip to London on the 27th of November to do some shopping and of course, visit the main attraction, Winter Wonderland. It was my first time ever seeing it and I'm already itching to go back! The atmosphere is so magical and Christmassy, it's hard to not feel festive upon visiting.

Warning: This is going to be a very photo heavy post, Christmas lights are extremely photogenic, I couldn't stop snapping away.

It was an eventful morning to say the least, we managed to get on the train with about 30 seconds to spare meaning we very almost didn't end up going at all. Bloody traffic. I have never power walked through Manchester so fast in my entire life, I thought my legs were going to pack in on me at one point.

Carnaby Street / Liberty's

Lush Oxford Street / Oxford Street lights

Upon arriving in London, we decided to head straight to Harrods. Me and my mum both felt the Christmas shop was a bit underwhelming, it's definitely been much better in previous years, but it's still incredible to walk round nevertheless.

Once Harrods was done, the original plan was to go straight to Oxford Street but I accidentally missed the tube stop so we got off at Piccadilly Circus instead and took advantage of the lovely walk down Regent Street, stopping off in Anthropologie (my first visit there, I was so excited) and of course, Hamley's! It was then onto Five Guys for lunch before hitting Carnaby and Oxford Street where I picked up a couple of the comfiest jumpers ever and two bath bombs. Will I ever be able to walk past a Lush shop without heading in and buying something? Nope, never.

It was then onto the main event, Winter Wonderland! We began walking towards Hyde Park just as it started getting dark, meaning we could admire the Christmas lights all lit up as we battled the Black Friday Oxford Street crowds.

Bailey's Hot Chocolate, yum!

If you made it this far, well done you! You're a trooper. The pictures really don't do justice of how special Winter Wonderland is but despite that, they're still pretty to look at.
All in all, it was a wonderful day... Although I won't lie, my feet and back were in bits, I have the bones of an elderly woman I swear.

Have you ever visited Winter Wonderland? If not, would you like to?

Onto the nitty gritty, my Blogmas schedule. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that I'm not planning on posting everyday, ain't nobody got time for that, and by nobody I mean me. I will be posting every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the exceptions of today and Christmas Eve!

On that note, see you tomorrow for Blogmas Day 2!

  16. This looks wonderful and what a fun way to get into the christmas spirit. I went to Winter Wonderland for the first time last year and loved it, although it was very close to christmas so was jumping but was still fun though. I am the same, I need to take photos of every single christmas light I see, they are just so damned pretty. All the NYC christmas lights are being switched on this week so I'm sure my blog will soon be covered in piccies too. Glad you had a lovely day out with your mum. Li x
