18 Basic Reasons I'm Autumn Obsessed
Rise and shine, it's the month of all things Autumnal.
Get your basic bitch Pumpkin Spice Lattes at the ready as we have a little look into why I'm so darn obsessed with Autumn...
As if you needed to read another post on it.
But y'know what? You do need to read another post on it, because there's nothing wrong with liking the same things as everyone else. Buy those berry toned lipsticks with glee.
1. Leaves. Yep, really, I'm talking about leaves. Watching the colours transition from bright, summer greens to the ever so cosy beiges and reds... Yes please.
2. Harry Potter movie marathons. Nothing says Autumn like snuggling up on the sofa, hot chocolate in hand, with Harry Potter blaring from the TV. Ultimate. Festive. Film.
3. Judging Tesco for already selling boxes of Roses chocs (but secretly you're thrilled because CHRISTMAS).
4. As mentioned earlier, PSLs. Need I say more?
5. Taking a two hour LUSH bath without overheating, sweating, or any of the disgusting bodily functions that happen when we take baths in Summer.
6. Bringing me onto my next point, HALLOWEEN LUSH GOODIES.
7. Homesense's Autumn range... It's in stores now people - Go grab those blog props!
8. Goodbye insects. Just, ew.
9. JUMPERS. Is there anything cosier than walking around wearing 500 layers. Knitwear, come at me.
10. No more shaving... See you in six months, razors.
11. Digging out the Primark Christmas leggings. It's officially time to bring those bad boys out of hibernation.
12. Duvet days are acceptable, and I can guarantee every day I have off work, you will find me firmly planted in my duvet surrounded by chocolate and endless cups of coffee (if only Starbs delivered).
13. Mum's roast dinners. Ugh, is there a better meal? The answer is no. Keep piling on the yorkshire puddings mum, calories don't count for the next 6 months.
14. All the candle scents. Pumpkin spice cinnamon drizzle swirl with caramel on top?
15. Endless Winter coat hauls, feeling as sassy as Cruella de Vil... Until you check your bank account.
16. Throwing cinnamon into all your baking ideas. Instant winner.
17. Why spend £40 on a jumper when you can find one for a tenner? Primark, I love ya.
18. Drooling over everyone's Autumnal Instagram feeds, time to up the game because lol no sunlight.
And there we have it... All the basic ass reasons as to why I love Autumn (there are more but my Rice Krispie infused brain can't think right now).
Are you an Autumn fan?

DeleteI have the biggest Autumn boner right now. I am so ready! It's basically still summer here in Italy but I can't wait for the colder months to arrive. I really hope we'll be able to find PSLs in Amsterdam as we don't have Starbucks here, or I'll be super duper disappointed.

Delete"Calories don't count for the next 6 months" So glad it's not just me who thinks this way in the A/W months, haha, I need the weight to keep me warm, you know... I'm always so excited for autumn when it comes, I get so sick of sweating and sunlight even though we don't even get that much of it in scotland, haha! I'm so ready to be able to start layering again and wearing jumpers and ankle boots too, it's been far too humid here!

DeleteA lot of the twitter chats have made me so excited for autumn but the weather decided it´s time to get summer out once again. Why?! I mean, I´m not complaining, I do love the summer feeling but a bit of autumn would be nice too. Also I do agree with all of these basic reasons, however I am missing out on PSLs, candles and lush baths this year (I could cry!)

I know right? It's been boiling this week and I'm not a fan to be honest! x
DeleteOh I live, breathe and eat everything cinnamon. Favourite thing about the autumn/winter months! Number 3 though... Spotted all the Christmas boxes a couple of weeks ago in Tesco and yep, definitely judged. I've been told that Christmas music at work is only acceptable from the 1st of December - not impressed. Love me some Christmas music.
ReplyDeleteMm cinnamon. Oh god, I wonder when my work will start banging out the Xmas tunes haha! x
DeleteSo i definitely need to try a PSL by the sounds of it.I'm crying at the "keep them yorkshires coming" comment!Who doesn't love a roast...I can't wait for it to be proper freezing though so i can buy some new chunky knit wear and live in my fleece pjs.xx
ReplyDeleteOmg you defo need to try one. Now. I can't wait to get new Winter pjs! I basically live in them for like 6 months hahaha. x
DeleteHaha love this! I love the Autumn colours so much (gimme burgundy everything) but I don't like PSLs which is so sad! Wish I loved them!!
