What I Got For Christmas 2016

It's time for the annual "I'm not showing off my presents but LOOK WHAT I GOT EVERYONE", because let's face it... We're all nosy AF and there ain't nothin' wrong with that.

For this post, I managed to narrow it down to the presents that were let's say, aesthetically pleasing because 1) They make eye-catching photos and 2) There's only so many times I can take a photo of the same set up, right?

Onto a more festive note, hands up if you still write a Christmas list. Guilty. I write one every year without fail for my dear momma, website links and all but if I'm honest, I needn't bother. My friends and family know me so well, I don't even need to drop hints as to what I like anymore. (And if you're unsure, my blog and Twitter are pretty rough ideas)

My mum surprised me with this adorable little gingerbread man Pandora charm as one of my main presents because god damn, I do love me a gingerbread man or 5. No but seriously, I think they're so cute. The new addition to my Pandora collection is happily sitting on my black leather bracelet, which up until now was looking a little bare.

Another surprise present was the lovely dish the bracelet is sitting in, personalised and all. I believe this was from Next (in case it's caught any of your eyes) and will be guaranteed to appear in many future Instagrams and blog photos!

Is it even Christmas if you didn't receive any books? Well luckily for me, I got 4! The 4 that were on my list, to be specific. Isn't my mum just such a hun?

Not only are 'The Little Book of Hygge' and 'Bloom' taking the blogging world by storm, they seem like really lovely books too. Estee is an absolute queen and I'm so proud of her for putting this together, considering I've been following her (online) for around 5 years now. The pictures in 'Bloom' are absolutely breathtaking, I definitely suggest having a flick through it if you get the chance.

I've wanted to try Too Faced make up for the longest time, I don't know why I've never purchased any myself before if I'm honest! The 'Merry Kissmas' set seems to have been on everyone's wishlists this December, but god damn, it was hard to get hold of. It kept selling out at every retailer but I finally managed to get my hands on one, thank you Selfridges! I'm probably-most-likely-definitely going to review this oh so dreamy gift set so I won't say too much about it at the mo', keep your eyes peeled.

My besties all got me equally as adorable gifts such as a sweet lil' sloth mug (y'all know how much I love sloths), some Lush bits and allll the things cacti related. #Galsdidgood

The annual influx of Lush gifts include my big bottle of Snow Fairy and huge tub of D'Fluff. These both last me literally all year and I'm so blessed to have these products in my life. Okay, slightly over dramatic but for real. D'Fluff is the secret to the softest and smoothest legs, without sounding creepy...

No stocking is complete without a pair of the fuzziest slippers (or beautiful white trainers with a rose gold trim), and mine was no exception. I'm a sucker for anything fluffy. Snoods, coats, dogs... You name it, I'll just want to snuggle into it.

Now for the other make up bits, the Topshop Glow pot is just an essential I feel, and I've always wanted a custom palette. Like, I just find them so cool and NYX happens to be super affordable. What a perfect combo! My mum is the actual cutest for picking out all 9 shadows to fill the pans too, I was honestly only expecting a couple but I adore them all. #Mumdidgood. I was going to share what shadows I had with you, until the puppy got hold of the packaging and flung them all over the kitchen floor. Good one, Loki.

A ban.do diary was another thing I put on my list because this gal starts uni in two weeks and needs somewhere to write everything down. Help. Me. Not only are they practical though, they're frickin' cute! And they come with stickers, STICKERS.

I'll love you and leave you with my two final main presents (and the prettiest). I received the Rosie for Autograph 'Summer Rose' 30ml which is absolutely the perfect gift for me. It's the perfect size for travel, meaning I can stop lugging round my 75ml that I received for my birthday as it's pretty darn heavy! 'Summer Rose' is such a delicate fragrance, I can't get enough of it... And that's coming from someone who can't stand floral scents.

Last but not least is an absolutely stunningggg Olivia Burton watch. I can't even tell you how long I have been eyeing up one of these beauties, far too long. This came as a total surprise to me but I just love it. Honestly, I can see I'm going to have a right little collection of OB watches as they're all so pretty. I'm so grateful for this gift, as with all of them, but this really was the ultimate pick me up after a crap year. Thanks momma.

I hope you enjoyed a peek into what I got for Christmas 2016. Be sure to tell me what your fave gift was (that you received) and absolutely link me to your posts/videos. I wanna see what you got, too!

  17. I love a good What I Got For Christmas post & I personally don't think they are braggy one bit. I think it depends on how people take it :) LOVED having a look-see through your pressies hon - they are amazing: from makeup to the books & the watch!! So so lovely! I do too write a list but I also get bits and bobs that are not on the list which is also fun because it's great to have surprises at Christmas even if it's something small :)
