Father's Day Gift Guide

If you asked anyone you know who the hardest person to buy for is, I guarantee it'd be their dad. Soz lads, us gals just have no clue, mainly because you don't tell us!

It's difficult to know where to start. It's like, do you go down the good old pamper route with the classic socks and underpants, or go a lil' fancy with some Shaving Cream L'Occitane. Personally, I'd prefer the latter (and secretly, your dad probably would too).

I threw together a short but sweet somethin' somethin', for those of you who are really stuck with a few personal ideas thrown together at the end.

1. Lush Bath Bomb - £3.95
2. Beer Goggles Glasses Case - £2
3. Chocolate Tool Kit - £11.99
4. L'Occitane Shaving Cream - £20
5. Virtual Reality Headset - £20
6. Jimmy Choo Gift Set - £45
7. Embarrassing Dad Jokes - £9.99
8. Dad I Love You This Much Beer Bottle - £12.99
9. Levi's Classic Bucklet Belt - £30

Every year Lush release a collection for Father's Day, because hello - Men can enjoy funky baths too, which always goes down an absolute treat. There's a range of products for everyone, but y'know you don't have to stick to the "male" products, who's to say they can't use a bright pink bubble bar?

Is £11.99 slightly pricey for some chocolates? Yes. Adorable though? Also yes. Dad's love quirky things, let's be honest. They'll open a box of chocolate tools and be over the moon, and then they'll probably take a picture of them and plaster them all over Facebook because lol, middle aged people on social media are hilarious.

Onto the shaving cream, a little more high end for one of my gift guides, but I bet you this stuff is incredible. Having used a couple of my mum's L'Occitane products, the hype is real on that one. Not only are the ingredients super soothing for the skin (making it the ultimate shaving cream), a little goes a long way.

I always feel like there's no point skimping it when it comes to skincare, especially if you're like me and are on the more dry and sensitive end of the scale. Quality of quantity, my friends.

Who'd have ever thought that virtual reality would actually become a thing? Not this gal. I'd like one please, hint hint. I'm sure you all know what a virtual reality headset is so I won't bore you with the deets but I'm certain everyone would love a go on one of these.

For £20, it's obviously at the lower end of the technology market but I'm sure it's just as fun as the more expensive ones, without breaking the bank.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those of you who may prefer to stick to a budget, or you'd rather do something more personal for your Dad, Grandad, Uncle or whoever, I have a couple of ideas.

1. A tour of their favourite sports team's ground.
2. A hamper of their favourite food and/or drink.
3. If you're artsy, DIY something!
4. Purchase tickets to a recording of their favourite TV show.
5. A scrapbook of your best memories together.

Those are just a few simple ideas I have but there will be hundreds more floating all over the internet!

  1. I love this, I find dads are always super tricky to buy things for, I may have to get my dad the beer goggles glasses case, such a funny novelty gift!
