The Must Have Skincare Duo ft. Kathleen

I don't tend to cover much skincare on my blog, mainly because I'm really not that knowledgeable in it all, but when something good lands through my letterbox I just gotta share it. That's exactly the case here.

Kathleen are a brand that I'd heard about here and there, mainly through bloggers, but never paid much attention to until they got in contact. Y'know when you just have a drawer full of untouched products, you really don't have much time to go out hunting for new ones... Lol, she says.

I kindly received a cleanser and a mist, and we all know how much I love a good facial mist. They're life changing. Life. Changing.

One thing that stood out to me about this brand in particular, besides the fact they are cruelty free, is that the products are all made from natural products which is essentially what Kathleen revolves around. I gotta say, this makes them an instant winner for me because my sensitive and dry skin is not a fan of chemicals. Plus, I'd rather know what I'm putting on my face as opposed to reading a load of fancy ass ingredients pretending I understand what the heck they mean.

The Refreshing & Lightening Cleansing Lotion is not one for sensitive noses, I'll say that much. Don't get me wrong, the actual product is lovely and so gentle on the skin but the scent is just... Not for me. If you're someone who can look past fragranced products though, I'd definitely suggest giving it a try.

In comparison to other cleansers on the market, I'd say in terms of texture it's most similar to Lush's Ultrabland, only waaaaay less greasy. It definitely has some moisturising properties to it that I personally love which is why I'd absolutely recommend it to any dry skin guys and gals out there, although this range is suitable for all skin types!

You use it like you would any other hot cloth cleanser, but I do enjoy doing a good double cleanse with this stuff, just to make sure my skin is looking and feeling squeaky clean.

Maybe a little pricey at £29.50, but that's the price you pay for good quality and natural ingredients! P.S. If you stay tuned until the end, I may or may not have a lil' discount code for ya.

The cleanser paired with the Rebalancing & Soothing Tonifying Mist makes the ultimate tag team in the skincare world. It's such a calming yet luxurious feeling product, I must spray it on my face at least 5 times a day (probably wouldn't recommend). Honestly, brands can't really go wrong with facial mists but there's just something about the Kathleen one that I adore.

It could be the scent, it could be the finely dispensed mist or it could be the fact it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated. Lol, who am I kidding? It's definitely all three of those combined!

One thing I struggle with when it comes to toners is actually finding one that minimises my pores but I needn't look any further. Kathleen have solved the mystery and reduced the size of them significantly. Like, I'm actually amazed. I am poreless. Almost.

I find the best time to apply the mist is first thing in a morning as it really adds a layer of moisture to my skin, without even touching my Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream! It's good stuff, I'm telling you. It doesn't affect the way make up sits on my face at all. If anything, it helps apply it a lot more smoothly. 10/10 would recommend.

Now that Kathleen are on my radar, they're a brand I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye on in the future (whilst I pray I don't run out of the mist soon). If you'd like to try them for yourself, you can use the code 'Exclusive15', which I've popped down below, to get yourself 15% off everything. Don't say I don't treat ya. x

  1. That mist sounds amazing! I´m usually a trusty Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist gal but I´ve run out & they can´t deliver atm, so I´m longing for something that´ll give me a similar feeling. Plus, this Kathleen Mist might have the extra benefit of minimizing my pores a bit! Well, now I have to have it on my wish list!
